FAQ
Questions, answered
Straight answers to everything students usually ask before beginning. If yours isn’t here, WhatsApp is one tap away.
About the practice
I’m not flexible at all — is this really for me?
Yes — and you’re the student we most often meet. Flexibility isn’t a requirement for yoga; it’s one of its slow, natural results. Your plan begins exactly where your body is today, with a chair or a wall if that’s what today needs.
Do I need any special equipment?
A quiet corner, a mat or folded blanket, comfortable clothes, and a phone or laptop with a stable connection. That’s genuinely all — anything else, your teacher will tell you well in advance.
I have an old injury or a health condition. Can I still practise?
Often yes, gently and carefully — but please speak with your doctor first, and tell us everything in the consultation. Your teacher will adapt the practice around what’s safe for you. TradiYog is wellness guidance, not medical care, and we’ll never ask you to work against medical advice.
Is this only for beginners, or also experienced practitioners?
Both. Beginners get a patient, judgment-free start; experienced practitioners get traditional depth — refined alignment, subtler pranayama, and the discipline of practising under a teacher’s eye again.
About the guidance
What actually happens in the introductory session?
We talk — that’s all. You message on WhatsApp, we fix a time, and then spend 20 to 30 minutes on your body, routine, and goals over a call. No postures, no equipment, no obligation to continue, and no sales pitch at the end.
How personalised is ‘personalised’, really?
Completely. There are no batches and no pre-made courses. Your sequence, your pranayama, your session timings, and your weekly rhythm are all built from your consultation — and rebuilt whenever your life changes.
Can I choose my teacher — or request a female teacher?
Yes. TradiYog has more than one teacher, including experienced female teachers, all trained in the same tradition and the same personal way of teaching. In your introductory session we listen to your goals and comfort, then suggest the teacher who suits you best — and if you’d prefer a female teacher, simply say so when you message. It’s a completely normal request, and it’s provided for.
How is this different from an app or recorded classes?
A recording can’t see you. In live one-to-one sessions your teacher watches your alignment, corrects in the moment, and adjusts the plan week by week. The difference isn’t content — it’s attention.
How long and how frequent are sessions?
A typical live session is about 60 minutes. Most students practise with their teacher two to five times a week, with short self-practice on other days. Your right rhythm is exactly what we work out in the consultation.
Logistics
I’m in a very different timezone. Will scheduling work?
Yes. We teach students across India, North America, England, Australia, and Africa, and keep both morning and evening windows India-time to cover them. Tell us your city when you message and we’ll find a slot that fits your day.
Which language are sessions in?
Sessions are available in English and Hindi — whichever you’re most comfortable in.
Can I reschedule or pause?
Yes to both. Life happens — travel, family, heavy weeks at work. Give us reasonable notice on WhatsApp and we’ll move sessions or pause your plan without drama.
What happens after the 4-Week Reset ends?
You leave with your complete written practice — it’s yours, with or without us. Many graduates continue into Personal Guidance; many practise independently and return for occasional refinement. Both are good outcomes, and your teacher will tell you honestly which they’d recommend for you.
About TradiYog
Who is behind TradiYog?
TradiYog was founded and is led by Yogi Gajendra — Masters in Yoga, more than 25 years of daily practice, and 8+ years guiding students across the world. He teaches alongside a small team of TradiYog teachers trained in the same tradition — including female teachers. His full story is on the About page.
What tradition does the teaching draw from?
Traditional Indian yoga — classical asana, pranayama, and the discipline of daily routine — taught plainly, without mysticism as marketing.
How does pricing work?
The introductory session is always complimentary. Personal Guidance is priced with your plan (it depends mainly on weekly session frequency), and the 4-Week Reset has a fixed fee. Exact numbers are shared openly in your consultation, with no pressure to decide on the call.
Is this a substitute for medical or psychological treatment?
No. TradiYog offers traditional wellness guidance and education. It can complement a healthy life, but it doesn’t diagnose or treat any condition — and if you’re managing one, please keep your doctor involved.
